Finance – Dull or Necessary?
We are slowly going through the feedback from last week’s event.
One big thing we noticed was that the finance based events did not get the turnout that other events got. We have some information about this, but not enough to say for sure how to remedy the problem.

As a small business, how do you feel about a presentation which explains a financial term for you? Would an hour talking about the benefits of ‘invoice finance’, ‘payroll finance’, ‘acid ratios’ and Redundancy payments from the National Insurance Fund, be interesting enough for you to attend?
What if we asked the presenters to leave out the technical terms, and spoke in layman’s terms? Would that be more interesting or would it still not be worth attending? Would a Dummies Guide to Company Finance be a good idea or a patronising idea?
If you have any thoughts or ideas – we are all ears – the main beneficiary will be the businesses who attend our events – and that could be you!
Let us know what you think in the comments.
