Seminar summary
Leases have a direct impact on many businesses. Numerous businesses lease their operating premises or may lease out premises or part of their premises to commercial tenants. Yet all too often leases are completed without a full understanding of the legal rights and liabilities that arise.

The seminar will concentrate on the key basic issues in the landlord and tenant relationship. Topics covered in the seminar will include:

• Points to note in agreeing Heads of Terms from both a landlord and tenant’s point of view
• Gaining or excluding protection under the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954
• Procedure and tactics for the service of landlord and tenant’s termination and renewal notices under the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954.
• Break clauses and early exit
