    NORTH WALES POLICE SEMINAR

    The prevalence of technology and how it is used can be a major concern for those Professionals working with Young People. What dangers are they exposed to and how can you help to prevent them from falling into danger?
    If you feel left behind by the progress of technology or are unaware of the issues surrounding Child Protection on the Internet, then this one day Seminar will provide the opportunity to professionally enhance your knowledge in this area.
    North Wales Police Hi-Tech Crime Unit has been approached by Education Professionals and agencies involved with Children and Young People to provide a course to train individuals who may become involved in a Child Protection matter where the Internet and new technology is involved.

    The objective of the course is to raise awareness of the potential dangers posed by the use of technology and how to manage that threat.

    The course will be presented by serving Hi-Tech Crime Officers, who have dealt with every type of incident including:
    •  Child Abuse Images
    •  Cyber – Bullying
    •  Murder
    •  Race Hate Investigations
    •  Sexual Assaults

    The comprehensive day course at North Wales Police Headquarters, in Colwyn Bay will cover the following subjects:
    •  Computer and Internet fundamentals
    •  Abusive and Indecent Material
    •  File Sharing
    •  Forms of Communication
    •  Emerging Technology
    •  Social Networks
    •  Cyber Bulllying
    •  Internet Investigations
    •  CEOP
    The cost of the course is £90 + VAT which includes lunch and refreshments.
