How old is the oldest Dot Com?
2010 is the 25th anniversary of the oldest domain names.
The very first dot com was symbolics.com
It was signed up on the 15th of March, 1985 so expect to hear a lot about it nearer that date. In the meantime, doesn’t it make you realise how long it takes for a bleeding edge idea to become common enough for your mum to consider it normal?
Whatever is currently in the lab today, if it succeeds, will be mainstream in 20-30 years. So, who is working on a teleporter and will it be safe for 65 year olds?
